A summary of our Oregon vacation

Sonoma was pretty a bit cold though, we had to stop to put pants on Cathryn.
Cathryn does not seem too happy about traveling, she seems really quiet, and that's not like her. And to top it off she came down with a really bad head cold. It's always something when we plan on vacation. Oh well gotta make the most out of it. We left after having a quick bite to eat, now back on the road on our way towards eureka.

Well there's another issue Cathryn just notified us about a pain in her tooth, come to find out that she's had a hole in her tooth for quite some time, I just assumed that her fear of me taking her to the dentist was the reason.
It's 3:03p.m. we just got back on the road after stopping and having a stop at the avenue of the giants, beautiful rain tree forest, as soon as we drove up to an area dense with giant redwoods and ferns, the weirdest phenomena happened.

The hair on my arms stood up and I had an electric current run through my whole body. It was inexperience I have never had before and I'll never probably experience again.
We took a little hike, no sooner we came to an old giant redwood tree hollowed out and stepped inside to hear what sounded like hundreds of bats, I've never heard bats before but I kind of fantasized the scene a little bit for my daughter. My husband did bring over a flashlight and shined it up into the darkness of the top, and we were shocked to see hundreds of baby bats hovering very closely near our heads. We then went for a little hike nearby to a beautiful River, full of baby fish and tad poles. We stuck our feet in and we were amazed to find out that the water was as warm as bath water. Our family dog never had so much fun swimming and retrieving sticks.

well now its about 6:00 and we've arrived in Crescent City, we found a motel and we've checked in for two nights, were all pretty tired and were going to put all our things away and go get something to eat and then Dave wants to go get some liquor and we will go to the famous Walker Road. I've heard about this ghost story about these teenagers that were at some swimming hole and they disappeared never to be found. Tonight my plan is to do some paranormal investigation, can't wait till I find out if I uncover anything, not literally. Wednesday, August,3, 10:52 p.m. well to start with last nights investigation never got under way due to the fact that the only ones that got investigated was us. First of all we got into the back of Dave's truck and he drove us through the woods of Walker Road. It was very dark out there and we had our flashlights shining in the trees it looked pretty scary. Then we drove up to the end of Walker road to the lake and it was so cool and Dave got a couple of logs out and lit them we gathered around the fire it was perfect opened up a couple beers, it was only 5 minutes and the cops drove up and the fun was all over,we had a fire which was prohibited and beer, I'm not going to go into details but Dave almost got arrested. The night was pretty much ruined!

The next day we went out to the beach it was a great day! The weather was very nice Dave and I got a pretty good sun burnt on our faces. The water was so warm it was like bath water. We took a walk up to the lighthouse but it was closing due to the tide was coming in. We went down to the marina to watch the sea lions bath themselves in the sun. The Sea lions sure can get pretty aggressive. There was these fishermen out there cleaning there fish and all these sea gulls were all around the fish, I love being by the sea. We then left and decided to get some lunch shrimp cocktail of course. We took Cathryn down to the beach life jacket of course and she swam till we had to drag her out. Since my daughter is half fish. Afterwards, we decided to try it again this time during the day and traveled down to Walker Road, we had a pretty good walk down to the river no ghosts though. On the way back to the motel we stopped to look at a house for sale, wow! we thought beautiful, how nice what it be to live by the redwoods. We met the guy that lived there and he informed us that the town was not what we thought....

Well it's Thursday morning getting ready to head on out to the Oregon Border to see what kind of trouble we can get into this time....

It's about 5:20 I'm sitting here watching cat play in the water at Rogue River in Oregon, can't believe were in another state! we left this morning to go to Golds Beach and loved the sea it was damn cold though. we stood in a really nice motel...

- Fridays schedule: Friday we went up to bandon to go Crabbing we rented a ring net and we caught so much crab we had a crab feast
we took all our crab to the beach and Dave made a camp fire and we cooked up all our crabs

Saturday we centered out back home we stopped in the safari wild life zoo it was so nice,we got a chance to pet and hold so many wild animals.

Sunday were on our way back home boo! Anyways we stopped at the trees of mystery. It was so cool going on the high tram.
